Manuel Vilariño is the third artist chosen for this collection of works that Dardo Magazine has the privilege to present for its readers. In some issues Dardo magazine will deal with one artist in order to make an edition produced for Dardo; a unique opportunity to get hold of a collection of some of the most significant artists in the context in which we usually work – Spain, Portugal and Brazil – based on criteria of quality, prestige and uniqueness. Manuel Vilariño, who was recently awarded the Spanish National Prize for Photography and has been present at important events such as the last Venice Biennial, has managed to produce a unique work with a strict discourse, as a product of a solid career which has always been faithful to the world of photography. His works are of great technical quality and exist in two different times: one which is close and has a great visual strength and the other which is reserved to an attentive gaze capable of ordering each perspective and showing the different aromas, lights, colours and shapes; always through the tension that emanates from silence.
