Marco GIANNOTTI Marco Giannoti is painter and independent professor of the Department of Plastic Arts of the Escola de Comunicação y Artes of the University of São Paulo (ECA/USP). He is copublisher of the Ars magazine, published by ECA/USP / Liam GILLICK He is one of the most important international artists of the nineties, reflecting through his work on the critical condition nowadays. Gillick is a sculptor, painter, designer, scriptwriter, art critic and writer, and represents the model of the artist of today who brings a whole variety resources into his work in order to provoke such a reflection. Since 1989 he has participated in numerous exhibitions, representing Germany in this year’s Venice Biennial / Michael HARDT Michael Hardt is an American literary theorist and political philosopher based at Duke University. Perhaps his most famous work is Empire (2000) written with Antonio Negri The sequel to Empire, called Multitude: War and Democracy in the Age of Empire, was released in August, 2004, and details the idea of the multitude as the potential site of a global democratic movement. Hardt studied engineering at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania from 1978 to 1983. In 1983 he moved to Seattle to study comparative literature. Other works include: Gilles Deleuze: An Apprenticeship in Philosophy (1993), Radical Thought in Italy (1996, con Paolo Virno) y The Labour of Dionysos: A Critique of a State-Form (1994), también con Negri / Javier HONTORIA Javier Hontoria has a degree and Masters in History of Art from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, and is finalizing his Doctoral Thesis on the poetical fissures of conceptual art. Since 1999 he has been an art critic in El Cultural (El Mundo), supplement whose section of art he coordinated between the years 2003 and 2008. He is a regular collaborator on specialized magazines such as MAP Magazine (United Kingdom) and A-Desk and curator of exhibitions / |
