Ruth ROSENGARTEN Art historian and artist. Born in Israel, she lived and studied first in Johannesburg, South Africa, and then in London, where she got her Ph.D. from the Courtauld Institute of Art. For twenty years, she lived and worked in Lisbon (where she still teach postgraduate students), and she currently live in the East Midlands, in England. Her research interests have been varied and include subjectivity and gender; psychoanalytic theory; feminism; matters post-colonial; and personal and collective memory and its representations /
