I theorize in order to be able to surpass the work itself, to re-invent it over and over again. With each new work, I seek a deepening, a transformation of the ideas to which the work itsell has given rise in me.
The work reveals itself to me - I find difference within it, and prove that it is not suited to being exemplary. In the last analysis, the work is eternity while theory is circumstancial. September 1985

The conceptual condition of the work unfolds in the invariables it projects over the various areas of its communication, as mutation of time and creation of space. June 1980

Art is artifice. Furthermore - and bearing in mind the long path travelled by man since prehistoric times, all that he has invented in order both to dominate and to be - that to man, the artificial is natural, that artifice is man's true nature.
