Fátima Lambert /// The Nap, On Translation – on View & Listening – Shadow, Interpretation and Memory Memory, time, space, the individual
and society are some of the concepts that run through the work of Antoni
Muntadas. These concepts are intercrossed – in a substantive
and intrinsic manner – with those of reception, translation and
interpretation, allowing societal and cultural research into epistemological,
linguistic and hermeneutic territories, in which a phenomenological
approach to perception, and thus to reception, still prevails. Equally,
one of the consigning topics of his work resides in the relation between
art and life, following on from affirmatives which have been consolidated
in successive generations of authors since John Cage and Fluxus. |
