Martí Anson

The anecdotal and the absurd a study of the works of Martí Anson

-Bon dia! (“Good Morning!”) is the title of the project that Martí Anson presented for the cycle “Vida Política” (Political Life) in the former Sala Montcada of the “La Caixa” Foundation and of which I was the curator. “-Bon dia!” was a cheeky manner of addressing the spectator, attracting their attention and getting them to literally enter the work. This is what it is about: going in through any of the outer doors of the work. There one gained access to a sparsely furnished room, identical in both cases: a sofa, a lamp, a television set, a little table and another door. That other door leads on to a dark corridor, and at the end of it another door. Behind the latter the spectator would once again find himself in the same initial position: in an equivalent room, with a sofa in front of him, a lamp, little table and door, now on the way out..
